For those of you lamenting your weather, I actually cranked my AC on my way to Whataburger. . .

Same thing for me over here in Mississippi. I wish it could stay like this all year.

I’m saving so much money on my utility bill. Aircon off, windows open. It’s great.

I, too, live in Texas. It hit 102° earlier this week just a couple of towns over from me.

Meanwhile in northern England (just south of the border) expected weather for Sunday (which is in five minutes here).

I still wash cars in shorts and T-shirt in 2 degree celsius weather. 10 would be good and 15 considered quite hot for us in my area.

How do you feel about 38-40C with 70%+ humidity? Come visit Texas in August and find out.

Ha! Nah. Anywhere in Texas is heaven compared to anywhere else.
As Davy Crockett once said: You may all go to hell, but as for me, I will go to Texas.

Last July we had a heatwave which reached a maximum of 36.7 degrees celsius, the typical temp for that period was about 27 and was unbearable.

Thanks for reminding me how crappy the weather is going to be for me in Fort Worth next week.

In the 3rd week of August, walk out into a parking lot and go mobile and let’s revisit this. ;) Lived here all my life and don’t know about being anywhere else but...I hate heat.

Honey, I'm used to triple digit summer days with 95% humidity. I'm a native Texan. There's still nowhere else I'd rather be, even in the middle of August.

Still, you have to admit, it can be kinda miserable in dead heat summer.

I used to shoot a lot of football practices (I’m a photographer). Two-a-days always start the first week of August for high school ball. Those are the kind of days where it’s already 95 degrees by 9 a.m. I mean, shit, sometimes it’s still 95 degrees at MIDNIGHT.
Anyway, I used to have to shoot several practices a day, all day long. Carrying 30-40 pounds of camera gear, getting down on my belly in itchy grass that inevitably stuck to my skin, running along the sidelines with the kids, with the mercilessly bright Texas sun beating down.
I don’t like to sweat. I hate the feeling of clothing soaking through and becoming plastered against you because there’s no breeze. Despite that, you work outside in conditions like that long enough and you get used to it. I kinda started seeing it as a badge of honor. And I kept my car (which didn’t have a working a/c) stocked with a couple of those 32 ounce bottles of Gatorade and Powerade.
The plus side? My tan was on point back in those days. Lol.

See, it’s not the cold that’s the issue up here in Buffalo. It’s that every day is gray, rainy, windy, and all depressing this time of year. Late winter sucks.
